What is the Oval?

The Oval is a Victorian era bandstand, outdoor venue and lawns located on the coast of Walpole Bay at Eastern Esplanade, near to the Tom Thumb Theatre.

With 130 years of history, The Oval is still where memories can be made today with all the family as they hold many events for all ages including live bands, wrestling and an outdoor cinema.

The summertime is when The Oval is the busiest, holding events at least once a week. They also have a bar and coffee kiosk so you can grab a cuppa, a pint or a cocktail and relax in the sunshine, right next to the sea.
