A good pub is community infrastructure, and Margate takes that seriously. The town has a range that goes from proper local boozers that have been there for decades, to natural wine bars, seafront breweries and restored pubs with incredible views where you can watch the weather roll in over the Main Sands. What most of them have in common is that they're independently run, they know their regulars, and nobody's trying too hard. These are the ones we actually drink in.
