Don’t Miss: Willy’s Restaurant Opening
Margate’s about to get a new favourite hangout.
After almost two years in the making, Willy’s, the long-awaited neighbourhood restaurant and bar from local entrepreneur Will Jenkins, officially opens this month inside the beautiful Margate House Hotel in Cliftonville.

But this is no hotel dining room — Willy’s has its own bold personality. Think comfort food done the Willy’s way: classic British dishes with wit, warmth and a little flair.
Head chef Mark O’Brien (ex–The Dairy, ZRC Birch & Samphire) has put together a nostalgic, flavour-packed menu that celebrates seasonal British produce.
Expect dishes like pork & prune terrine, celeriac Wellington, and a soon-to-be-legendary Willy’s sausage & mash all washed down with Kentish wines or a signature Willy’s Cosmo from the playful cocktail list.
Inside, the restaurant’s red-and-pink palette gives the whole place a retro glow.
There’s space for 50 diners, including five kitchen-counter seats where you can watch the chefs in action and another 25 outside on the dog-friendly heated terrace.
The cosy cute dining room
There’s also a Private Dining Room (PDR) for up to 30 guests, ideal for birthdays or office parties (complete with its own bar and kitchen).
Willy’s is the kind of place that feels instantly lived-in cosy but cool, refined but cheeky.
Drop by Dalby Square for a long lunch, stay for cocktails, or party late into the night downstairs.
