Don’t miss the Gentle, Angry Women film screening

While the much-loved Power of Women festival may have paused, Margate’s community spirit is very much alive.

International Women’s Day on Sunday 8 March is still a brilliant excuse to come together, celebrate female voices and support the people and organisations doing meaningful work locally.

Across the town you’ll find community gatherings, film screenings, music, food and creative events that invite everyone to take part. Whether you want to meet new people, learn something new or simply enjoy a great night out.
