Dance your way through the weekend
Get ready to party!
From Friday 1 - Sunday 3 August, Margate’s Soul Weekender is back, creating the biggest soul street party across town for the 23rd year running.
With around 5000 people attending, don’t miss this huge vibrant party with incredible soul and over 60 DJs this year.
By Sophie Wareham.
Who is Headlining The Margate Soul Weekender?
Bringing you a mix of Soul, Funk, Jazz, Reggae, Latin and R&B, this year you can expect to dance down by the beach to the huge soul legends of The SOS Band, TMF Formerly Of Maze, The Earth, Wind and Fire Experience and also the UK’s own ‘90s stars, The Drizabone Family.
Each of the soul legends will be taking to the beachside stage down at Newgate Gap in the shadow of the iconic Lido sign, which was a big hit last year for the first time.

Who Else Is Playing?
On top of all those headliners, there are also 60+ DJs from the Margate Soul Family, and from music partners, Street Sounds, as well as some incredible sets from The Saxon Sound System, DJ Destruction, Aitch B, Lisa Loud and so many more.
One of the best things about Margare Soul Weekender is that lots of the festival’s much loved DJs play on the street corners all over town, turning Margate’s Old Town into a massive dancefloor, right next to the sea.
The main (ticketed) Beachside Stage is located down at Newgate Lower Promenade just behind The Lido Sign, where you can get drinks, pull up a deckchair or dance next to the sand. With the sun blazing, acts belting out the hits and drinks flowing, the good vibes are endless and you're bound to have a blast.
