Who knew The Centre was where the foodie tribes of Margate would flock to, but POMUS has become my dead cert fave for special meals, birthday treats and the place where small plates actually fill you up.
A menu that ranges from light and delicate to seriously stuffed that changes with the seasons and isn’t afraid to mix things up, POMUS has consistently delivered with delicious natural wine pairings. The menu ranges from small plates and picky bits to proper serious steaks, meat dishes, seasonal salads and sides.
What’s the vibe?
Relaxed enough you can pop in mid-week but special enough that it’s become our go-to for parents visiting, birthday celebrations and team dinners. The service is spot on but there’s no pressure if you’re just popping in for a snack and a glass of wine.
Keep an eye out for special offers like steak frites nights and parties, POMUS likes to celebrate. They’re a part of The Centre in Margate, opposite the town’s best used gig space, Whereelse, and close by Palms Pizzeria.

DO I NEED TO BOOK?
Book if you want to secure a table but there’s bar seating in the window and along the kitchen counter for walk in’s.
