Daisy and Snake Oil Barbeque will be hosting smoked meat roasts with the most (meat and vegan) along with big bone gravy (and vegan equivalent). Book in for a slow decadent Sunday watching the sun go down at Daisy.

The George & Heart has a reputation for its roasts, which deliver come rain or shine, and booking ahead is almost mandatory. Settle in to the snug, make friends with your neighbour tables and tuck into a huge roast, choose from beef, chicken or lamb and there also GF and vegan options available. Kids’ sizes also available.

Buoy & oyster

One good thing about autumn is that roasts are back across town. From £21 for a (locally grown) mushroom and autumn squash vegan parcel to £24 for West Sussex beef sirloin. Or go for Pork porcetta with smoked apple butter or Herb fed chicken and pork & sage stuffing.

Dukes

Roasts are back on the menu at Dukes, where you can tuck into roast chicken, pork or a vegan puff pastry pie and all the sides. Pair it with a delicious cocktail or two in a cosy corner and while away Sunday afternoon.

The Bulls Head

olby’s

Olby’s Soul Cafe delivers what it calls the #BestRoastOnTheCoast. We’ll let you be the judge of that but we can confirm their portions are massive, and with their super friendly service, you can sit and watch the world go by all afternoon. Choose from traditional chicken or beef roast dinner or try their Caribbean-inspired jerk roast. Booking is a must.
